On 3 September 2026, the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) participated in Induction Week 2026–2027 by introducing first-year students to its services, facilities, and available academic resources. Students received information on book borrowing procedures, online databases, and research resources. Guided tours of the Centre were conducted to familiarise students with the library facilities and demonstrate how to access and use its services effectively.

As part of the programme, interactive and collaborative activities were organised to encourage student engagement. Working in groups, students designed creative covers for selected books, presented their designs, and explained their reasons for recommending the books to others. These activities encouraged creativity, teamwork, and communication while promoting students’ interest in reading.

The activities successfully introduced first-year students to the LRC’s services and resources and supported their transition to university life. Students had the opportunity to explore the Centre’s facilities, learn about the academic support available, and participate in collaborative learning activities. Overall, the LRC’s contribution to Induction Week helped familiarise students with the Centre as a key academic resource and encouraged them to make use of its services throughout their studies.
