On 8 September 2026, the Learning Resource Centre (LRC), in collaboration with the Centre for Culture and Creativity, organised an educational visit to the National Library of Uzbekistan Named After Alisher Navoi for students of Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT).

During the visit, students learned about the history of the National Library, its extensive collections, and its key activities. A guided tour was conducted, introducing students to the library’s main departments and providing insights into its unique book collections and information resources.

The visit provided students with an opportunity to deepen their interest in reading and explore Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage while gaining knowledge and experience beyond the university environment. The event served as a meaningful educational and cultural initiative, fostering collaboration between university centres and promoting students’ engagement with the country’s literary and cultural resources.
