On 6 October 2026, the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) organised the “Yosh Kitobxon” (Young Reader) competition to promote students’ interest in reading and assess their knowledge of literature.

The competition attracted more than 20 students, who completed a test consisting of 40 questions on Uzbek and world literature. The questions covered a variety of literary genres and works, assessing participants’ knowledge of both literature included in the school curriculum and works they had read independently beyond the prescribed syllabus.

Throughout the competition, students demonstrated their literary knowledge, reading experience, and understanding of a diverse range of literary works. The event provided participants with an opportunity to test their knowledge, discover new literary interests, and further develop their reading habits.

The competition contributed to promoting an appreciation of Uzbek and world literature, encouraging independent reading, and strengthening students’ literary knowledge. It also supported the LRC’s ongoing efforts to foster a strong reading culture within the university community.
